Week At the Beach

We've been gone to California for ten days. It was great but we're glad to be home! We had so much fun with our Elton Cousins. We're sad we don't live closer to everyone.

DANNY

So last night we met up with my brother Danny for a picnic before he flies back to India for his work. As you can see my brother is drop dead gorgeous. This is a shout out to all 30 some women or people who know really great 30 something women to go out with Danny. Now let's be honest people, if you are thinking of the perfect person let me lay out some criteria. She needs to be on a similar level of good looking-ness- not actual english I know but you catch my drift. Even more importantly, she needs to be smart and can seriously hold her own in a conversation. By brother is very opinionated in many things and a bit hard headed at time do she must to be able to stand up to him and have the brains to back it up. So - lastly , he is not currently active in the church. Ideally she would be active and be strong enough to stay active until he pulls his head out of his rear end. As I am writing this I am realizing this is way too tall of an order - but at least you will have gotten some amusement from my foolishness. The advertisement for my darling sister Katie coming soon.....she is actually much easier to advertise...

Auction for Stephanie

Ok- I thought I had more inventory and I thought I could auction but we'll start with this shirt. It is made from a real leaf. It is a womens medium. If you would like this shirt- hey you might get it really cheap as I don't think many people will be even getting onto my site. So just leave a comment with your bid and I'll close it when...well I guess if I get any bids :). I grew up down the street from this beautiful girl. For those of you who don't know her, she was one of the most genuinely kind people I have come into contact with. I remember hanging out at her house with her sister Courtney and Stephanie (she girl in the picture) would walk in and light up the room with her goodness and grace. Even at 14 she had a genuine interest in others, a love for life, and a spirit that touched all around her. Last Sautrday she was in a terrible private plane crash with her darling husband that has resulted in near fatal injuries and burns. Her four small chilren are living with aunts and uncles while they try to recover in an Arizona hospital. To read more about what happened go to cjanerun.com. Tomorrow in a worldwide effort to raise money for her recovery and the care of her children. There will be silent auctions all over the world on blogs everywhere. Nothing I love More...

There is really nothing I love more that watching my husband with our children doing something like this. This past weekend we had the ward camp out and besides the horrific night we had (a story worthy of a separate post) we had such a great time. Although it is very different being back in Utah, there are such wonderful people here and we grown to love our neighbors and friends here. At first it was very hard because everyone's whole families live here it seems, and all of mine have moved away except for my parents- but they are an hour and half away. I miss the church outside of Utah, but there are great things about it here too. Just trade-offs.

A motherhood Moment

This morning as I was feeding Gabe I looked over and watched Coco eating her breakfast. Suddenly I was overcome with an absolute deluge of emotion that was so strong I actually felt tears coming. I was so overcome with love for this little person. Then I looked at Gabriel and David and I just felt an indescribable power in my heart. I have been given the mortal repsonsibility of teaching and loving these children. Of course I got out my camera to immortalize the picture for years down the road when I have long forgotten this moment. And to top off this experience, when I pointed the camera, this is what Coco did. Can you stand it? I can't.
