My neighbor was over hanging out on my porch as we watched our kids play. For some reason we got on the topic of hair and make-up. I mentioned I used to work for Lancome. Oh I wish you could have seen the look on her face. It may have had something to do with the fact that I hardly ever wear make-up anymore and my hair always looks like I have never stepped into a salon. While she is someone you wouldn't recognize just out of the shower. Apparently she thinks I am some kind of Granola and demanded to see a picture. After a bit of hemming an hawing- I got out my wedding pics. SHe nearly fell out her chair... these were her words,'' Oh but you look so beautiful!" Classic. So how many of you get made up every day?

i used to wear make-up every day when i was working. not a lot, but i definitely spent 5-7 minutes slapping some stuff on. but, i'm taking a break from makeup/hair styling for a few weeks here . . . i remember my brother saw you at the lancome counter and did not even recognize you (you recognized him) because you looked so "glamorous". but, i always think of you as a bit of a granola girl!

Can I just say, "YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL"! Even after giving birth you're beautiful!!! I wear make-up (a healthy/natural 5 minutes worth) everyday because it helps me feel 'put together' physically and mentally (yes, mentally). When I don't wear it I feel like I can't get my day moving. So, it's definitely for "me".
I've never been very comfortable wearing alot of makeup. But, I have to admit, that I rarely wear it at all anymore. I'll put on a little maskara and blush if I am going out shopping or to the park or something. I think the only time I put on a "full face" anymore is for church, or the rare occasion Daynen & I get to go on a date. I asked Daynen if he minded once that I never wear makeup, he said no, because I look pretty much the same. Don't know if that means I don't do a good job putting on make-up, or if I have a nice complextion. Hopefully it's the latter... I is definately the latter w/ you Carrie, you are beautiful woman always, and I have seen you in the early morning!
Believe it or not I do my hair and make up everyday. I'm more high maintenance than ever. Although I do still wear basketball shorts or sweats whenever I get a chance.
For some reason this post made me laugh. I totally see you at both ends of the spectrum, granola and glamorous. Beautiful at both and everywhere in between! I HAVE to wear at least mascara every day, but don't spend a whole ton of time putting much else on, unless I have something fun going on!
GRANOLA????????? Um, no you are beautiful.... make up- is definetly my friend. I always feel better when I where it and I must not wher eit all teh time like I think I do because like 6 mohts ago I was at vons and I had gotten all ready for hte day before i went in nad the worker was like...."oh my gosh, you are here with you rahir done and make up on!" I had to laugh...he was genuinely trying to pay me a compliment. SO funny- and kind of sad!
i have to put on my eyes every morning. blond eyelashes really are the pits sometimes.
