Gabe's birthday was such an experience for me. I had a c-section again and although it is a very unnatural way to bring a child into the world, the Lord allowed me to have a spiritual experience and I felt a settling of peace as the doctor sliced through every layer of tissue in my body. I know weird. The doctor couldn't get the baby to come out of the hole in my abdomen because he was stuck up under my ribs and he had to get on top of me and with all his body weight push down on my ribcage with his elbow to get the baby to come down. It was a bit wild. When my other kids came to visit, they seemed like giants and immediately fell in love with Gabe. I can't believe that just 5 years ago I wondered if I would ever get married and here I am with 3 kids. Life is beautiful.
This winter was a crazy one for all of you that live in Utah. But we had a great time playing in the snow, building snow forts and as you can see getting creative with how to have fun indoors.
I am always reading everyone else's blogs and never contributing anything myself. So in honor of the latest addition to the Elton family I thought I joing the blogging club. Fot those of you who know what my pregnancies are like, this one was no different. I barely made it through. But he is finally here even though he had to come 4 weeks early. He is perfect. No problems at all and he got to come home from the hospital with me. He looks just like his daddy and seems to have his disposition too.
